The Rotary Club of Ridgewood AM hosted New Jersey Director of The American Foundation of Suicide Prevention, Elizabeth Roithmayr. Elizabeth shared the many resources and initiatives in support of friend, families, and loved ones impacted by suicide. Elizabeth also shared information about the upcoming Out of Darkness Annual Walk on November 1, 2020. This year’s walk will be a virtual event.
The American Foundation of Suicide Prevention was formed in 1987 to address the needs of thousands of individuals suffering from mental health issues and as a way to organize communities to help all persons impacted by suicide. The Rotary Club of Ridgewood AM supports the many volunteers who Walk Out of The Darkness!
