Dr. Murphy shared that Ramsey Public Schools has implemented several mental health initiatives and programs to treat students and families from stress related to COVID19. Prior to the pandemic, Dr. Murphy and Ramsey Schools has been engaging students and families in helping to assist students and families at risk by reducing the stigma associated with mental health issues. Dr. Murphy outlined the adoption of a “warm line’ which provides immediate clinical assistance to students and families in need.
Dr. Murphy has been Superintendent of the Ramsey Public Schools since 2012. Before that he served as the Chief School Administrator in the River Vale Public Schools. Prior to becoming a Superintendent, he served as the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, Director of Elementary Education, and Principal in the Westwood Regional School District.
